Gifts from alumni and friends provide the vital fuel for EAPS education and research. Graduate students power our research! You can support a graduate student by making a gift to a fellowship fund. Gifts to the EAPS Discretionary Fund are also critical as they can be used to meet all student or faculty needs. Every single gift to EAPS makes a difference!
Priorities include fellowships and discretionary support:
EAPS Discretionary Fund (2635100) provides the most flexible support for students and faculty e.g. to seed new research, purchase equipment, cover student travel to conferences etc.
EAPS Graduate Student Support Fund (3857220) provides expendable funding for EAPS graduate students of any discipline.
Fellowships support EAPS graduate students via a named fund:
Sven Treitel ’53 Graduate Student Support Fund (3312160)
James L. Elliot Graduate Student Support Fund (3297565)

MIT has an extraordinary, time-limited opportunity to play a central role in this historical scientific initiative to discover habitats and signs of life outside of our solar system. Our goal is to raise $1,000,000 by April to build one new SPECULOOS (1-meter) telescope by fall of 2017. We already have one potential donor at $600,000, leaving just $400,000 left to raise! Can you help? To accelerate this exoplanet research and ensure MIT can join the SPECULOOS consortium, please consider making a gift to the SPECULOOS project. Call Angela Ellis at 617-253-5796 or email email@example.com for information.
